The annual Scurry of East Sussex is a fun filled day for everyone! The Scurry, a traditional hunt ride is held over approximately two miles of fierce hedges and timber across well-drained seasoned turf.
Along with the spectacle of The Scurry, we have the high tension Gate Jumpers Challenge, how high will the gate go this year and who will clear it? What’s more, more than just spectating, we have an opportunity for all to get competitive themselves with the fun-filled hound racing. The Scurry is a great day out for all the family, refreshments and the bar will be open all day.
12.00pm Final declarations for the Scurry, declarations close

2.15pm ESRM hounds parade
2.30pm Parade of all Scurry competitors
3.00pm The Scurry
3.30pm Prize Giving Ceremony
There will be a well stocked bar and refreshments available, so come and make a day of it. Entrance will be charged at £10 per car.
The winner of the Parker Challenge Cup will be the fastest horse and rider to complete the course, carrying a minimum weight of 12 stones. There are a number of other prizes up for grabs too, click here for more information.
The course is twisty and undulating with mainly hedges over 2 miles. The hedges will be flagged, with some longer routes available.
